TechCrunch Disrupt

On May 24, 2010, we were honored to travel to New York City to attend the TechCrunch Disrupt conference.  Of more than 500 companies that applied, we were selected as one of the top 20 companies to be featured in the conference as one of the most “disruptive” startups in the media industry.

The TechCrunch Disrupt conference was a whirl-wind of experience spread across 3 days of events and presentations.  Let’s try to sum up the experience into a few major highlights…

The most significant event to us was presenting in front of a panel of judges and 1,500 investors, press agencies and tech enthusiasts as one of six companies in the “Disruptive Apps or Services” category. We were excited to be voted by all those in attendance as the most promising startup in our category, through the SecondMarket voting mechanism. For all of you that were in attendance, thanks for your vote of confidence!

Among other highlights, we were invited to a VIP dinner after the conference with the other top 20 companies profiled in TechCrunch. Speakers from the conference, such as the Yahoo! CEO and representatives from Foursquare, were also present at the dinner.

The TechCrunch Disrupt conference was an exciting opportunity to unveil our product and demonstrate why VideoGenie is the next big thing in online marketing. We are grateful for this opportunity and truly honored to be distinguished as one of the most “disruptive” startups at TechCrunch. Even more so, we’re flattered by the support of the 1,500 conference attendees in their selection of VideoGenie as the best in our category.
